UK MOT Dashboard Warning Light Failures - Reset Tools to Prepare your car

The UK MOT test is getting more difficult. Dashboard warning lights such as ABS, SRS airbag & engine warning lamps will now be classed as MOT failures as the UK government attempt to make our roads safer. And we agree.

Dashboard warning lights appear on your dashboard after the fault has been triggered in the system so many times. If the fault is constantly active, and showing up on your dashboard - it is certiantly serious enough to warrant an MOT fail. For example, if your airbag warning light is on, it means there is a fault in the airbag module and as such the airbag system is not working as it was designed to, deeming the vehicle unsafe.

Of course there will always be the critics who will beleive that the change has been made in order to get more money into the economy out of the everyday consumer, and we hear that, but still believe that the change is a good thing for the safety on UK roads.

We have created a short piece on our website and also offer tools which can clear the dashboard lights in order to get your car through its MOT.
