The Launch VIII is a handheld unit which is so easy to use, just plug it in and you are ready to start diagnosing system faults, and clearing codes. The dashboard light will generally turn off when the code has been cleared, assuming that the actual fault has been fixed, for example a sensor replaced for camshaft, crankshaft, abs, MAF etc.
