Mileage correction - is it legal or illegal? It all depends on what reason you intend to use the mileage correction tool. If you are using the tool to change the mileage because say for example your original clocks are no longer working and you are installing a replacement set & resetting the correct mileage then it is perfectly legal.
If you are changing the mileage so that a vehicle that currently reads for example 120,000 and changing it to say 75,000 and then attempt to sell the vehicle with the ammended mileage - this is very illegal.
If you do need to change your mileage take a visit to Diagnostic World who offer mileage correction tools to do it yourself. We recommend you do have a little experience when attempting to change mileage, and sometimes it is not as straight forward as just plugging the kit into the OBD2 port.
We do not offer any advice or support for mileage correction tools, they are listed for you to simply make the decision if it is right for you or your mechanic or not. Click below to see mileage correction tools.
